In the northwestern part of Pennsylvania, Warren County is a quiet area full of beautiful forests, history, and gorgeous old homes. A.J. Hazeltine House
The A.J. Hazeltine house is also called the Honorable Charles Warren Stone Museum. Located at 710 Pennsylvania Ave. in the Historic District of Warren, this is an easy place to find if you’re walking the streets of the downtown area. Just a few blocks from General Joseph Warren Park, you could easily fit this house into a historic tour of the area.

Built in the early 1900s, this three-story home is made of red brick and features marble lintels and capstones, as well as wide capstones on either side of the house. The A.J. Hazeltine house was designed in Jacobean style from the Early English Renaissance period. Mr. Hazeltine worked with Charles Warren Stone around the turn of the century, connecting him and his home to the history of the area. The Warren County Historical Society took over this home in 1975 and opened it up to the public for tours.

Guy C. Irvine House
To see the Guy C. Irvine house, you’ll need to jump in the car and drive just under 15 minutes north of central Warren. It’s certainly worth the trip. Located right on State Highway 62, this historic home is also called the Walker House, the Kopf House, or the Locust House. It gets its Locust House name from the large locust trees that tower over the front yard.

The Guy C. Irvine house was built sometime between 1831 and 1835. This is a two-story home made of brick with flanking wings. A pedimented porch with two-column supports is one of the focal points of the front of the home.

Horton House Bed and Breakfast
For a fully immersive experience as you take in the history of Warren County, consider spending the night at the Horton House Bed and Breakfast. Located right in the heart of the Warren Historical District on Route 62, the Horton House was built in the late 1800s. The home is completely made of wood and features a large, beautiful surrounding yard. Rooms are named after historic people from the town of Warren including previous owners of the home.
