Check Out These Fun 2020 Festivals Around Warren

Each year, there are some fun-filled festivals and events held in and around Warren, Pennsylvania. Here are some of the not-to-be-missed events to put in your diary for 2020.

YMCA Craft and Vendor Show — March 14th
Usually held on the second Saturday in March, the YMCA Craft and Vendor Show is hosted by the Warren County YMCA on Lexington Avenue. As it enters its sixth year, this annual event continues to grow and improve every year. Local home-based businesses and craft vendors will be displaying their beautiful hand-crafted goods.

Come along and find one-of-a-kind items to purchase. You can buy lunch at the event and there will be a bounce house for the children and a Chinese auction. This fun event is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and entrance for the public is free.

Scandia Chainsaw Carve — May 8th & 9th
The 16th annual Scandia Chainsaw Carve is again organized by the Scandia Volunteer Fire Department and will be held at the Red Oak Campground in Russell. This is a family friendly event where you can see the magic of ordinary logs being turned into stunning pieces of art. The skill with which the carvers wield the chain saws has to be seen to be believed.

Carved art works will be auctioned on the second day to benefit the Scandia VFD. There will be hot dogs for sale and, on the Saturday, a chicken barbecue. Craft vendors will be showcasing their products and you can watch quick carving demonstrations. The event is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Warren County July 4th Celebration — July 3rd to 5th
The Warren County July 4th Celebration attracts more than 20,000 people each year. The main festivities will be in Downtown Warren and Betts Park and include music concerts, live entertainment, the cutest baby contest, a birds of prey show, and much more. Vendors will be selling clothing, jewelry, and arts and crafts, and a great selection of food and drinks will be available.

To keep the children happy, the Kid’s Zone will have face painting, bouncy castles, and lots of fun games and activities. The July 4th Parade starts at 11 a.m. and takes around two and a half-hours to complete the 1-mile route. The pre-parade show begins at 10:30 a.m. There will be a firework display at 10 p.m.

Allegheny River FesT — September
Organized by the Allegheny Center for the Arts, the Allegheny River FesT is an annual art and craft festival held in Betts Park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Products from local artists and craft vendors will be on display. You will be able to join in with art related activities and listen to live music, storytelling, and book readings by local authors. There will also be demonstrations and a fairy tale troupe.
